Producer prices aren't always released before consumer price data, but this month they are. Historically, if both the headline and core PPI move in the same direction relative to market expectations—whether they beat or miss—they provide a good signal for CPI.
For all the Tik-Tokers out there - Chinese officials have internally discussed options to keep TikTok operational in the U.S. by allowing a non-Chinese party to invest in or take control of the social media app. Elon Musk is being considered as a potential buyer. The popular social media platform is facing a ban unless it sells its U.S. operations.
MicroStrategy Inc. slumped again on Monday. The software company has spent more than $18 billion in past couple months to bulk up its bitcoin holding. MicroStrategy shares have soared 49.1% over the past three months, while bitcoin has hiked up 47.3% and the S&P 500 index has been little changed.
