The first FOMC meeting for 2025 is around the corner, as in today, and the market will react. Always does.
So far the general opinion of financial analysts is that the interest rates will stay the course, no matter the loudly expressed Trump wants/needs on the matter.
Trump 2.0 has continued with his โpolitical bullyingโ - plans to set 25% goods tariffs for Columbia were made and consequently scrapped, after the Latin country agreed to accept planes with deported immigrants.
Next Trump hit the Federal funding pause button with sweeping freezing of โall grants and loans that have already been approved by the governmentโ.
